About the project

The Time4Health project addresses the pressing need to enhance youth work by equipping youth workers with the skills, knowledge, and digital tools necessary to promote young men’s health and well-being. Studies show that men in Europe have a significantly lower life expectancy than women, with various health challenges often unaddressed due to societal norms and a lack of targeted educational initiatives. This project aims to bridge that gap by empowering youth workers to engage young men in learning about key health-related topics, including mental health, physical well-being, digital wellness, and the impact of gender stereotypes on health.

The project will develop an innovative e-Studio, a digital learning platform designed to strengthen five core competencies of youth workers in providing non-formal health education. This will include a set of Nano Open Online Courses (NOOCs) and an assessment tool for validating youth workers’ skills, ensuring they are well-prepared to support young men in improving their health. Additionally, a Digital Pedagogies Kit will provide facilitators with best practices for delivering effective training sessions.

A key component of the project is the Educational Week, titled Time4Health: Unlock Your Full Potential in Health and Well-being, which will provide young men with engaging, interactive resources such as digital games, success stories, and interactive presentations. These materials will create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment, motivating young men to take proactive steps in improving their well-being.

By integrating digital transformation into non-formal education, Time4Health contributes to the EU’s priorities of digital education, inclusion, and gender equality. The project will directly support 60 youth workers and 10 facilitators in piloting the e-Studio, while reaching 250 young men through the Educational Week.

The long-term impact will be the creation of sustainable, high-quality digital learning opportunities that empower young men to lead healthier lives, while strengthening the role of youth workers in addressing critical health issues in their communities.
